Director, Actuarial & Statistical Research Group

Tom Rhodes is the Actuarial Director of MIB Solutions Inc. In this position, he is responsible for managing the industry studies for the Society of Actuaries, the Association of Home Office Underwriters and the Academy of Insurance Medicine. As part of MIB’s Actuarial & Statistical Research Group, Tom directs the development and delivery of products and services aimed to meet the needs of direct writers and reinsurers. Tom joined MIB in September 2003.

Tom has over twenty-five years of experience in the life insurance business, including fifteen years at a major life insurance company where he held various actuarial positions in management reporting, illustration systems and pricing. He is an alumnus of Temple University where he earned a Masters of Science Degree in Actuarial Science.

Tom is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is the Chair of the Individual Life Experience Study Committee of the Society of Actuaries and also serves on the Society's Life Practice Advancement Committee and the Academy’s Life Product Committee.
